Green Corydoras

Overview

The Green Corydoras / Bronze Cory (Corydoras splendens) is one of the hardiest and largest Corydoras species. Its metallic green-bronze colouration and robust nature make it an excellent beginner catfish.

• pH: 6.0–7.5
• Hardness: 5–18 dGH (very adaptable)

Tank Setup

• Minimum tank size: 75 litres for 4+
• Substrate: Fine sand or smooth gravel essential
• Decor: Driftwood, plants, open areas

Diet

• Base: Sinking pellets, wafer foods
• Treats: Frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia

Temperament & Tank Mates

• Temperament: Peaceful, social schooling fish
• Best companions: All peaceful community fish
• Schooling: Minimum 4; larger groups preferred

Common Issues
