Overview

The Green Neon Tetra (Paracheirodon simulans) is a lesser-known relative of the Neon and Cardinal Tetras. It is smaller and displays a more intense, greenish-blue iridescence along its lateral stripe. Found in very soft, acidic blackwater streams of the Amazon basin.

Tank Setup

  • Best companions: Other small tetras (Cardinal, Green Neon), Corydoras pygmaeus, small rasboras, dwarf shrimp
